Victoria Belokonska holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development from the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, Sofia, together with universities from the United Kingdom, France and Belgium. Master Chemist, chemistry teacher with a second specialty in physics, acquired at Plovdiv University “Paisii Hilendarski”. She has successfully completed numerous courses and specializations to improve her qualification as an expert in waste management and project management sectors.
She is currently an expert at MAGISTERIUM Ltd. She has been the coordinator of projects: “Pilot models for environmentally friendly collection and temporary storage of hazardous household waste” and “Environmentally friendly disposal of obsolete pesticides and other plant protection products with expired expiration date”, funded by the Bulgarian-Swiss program for cooperation aimed at reducing economic and social disparities within the enlarged European Union. She has held expert positions at the Waste Management and Soil Protection Directorate, the Ministry of Environment and Water.
She has over 14 years of practical professional experience in the field of waste management. She has experience in the Bulgarian-Swiss Cooperation Program, TAIEX – a tool for technical assistance and information exchange of the European Commission, Participation in the EWGs – Basel convention on the control of transboudary movements of hazardous waste and their disposal, on behalf of Central and East Europe, observer to the Convention, IMPEL projects, participation in the Working party on the Environment – Council of the European Union, etc.
